Introduction

The company presented its latest generation language which is already in the testing period. Service combines knowledge of the world with power, intelligence and creativity.

Google is preparing an update that promises to break with communication schemes: the company is preparing a next-generation language model called LaMDA that today is open to trusted testers.
But the conversational AI service has a special name: Bard, a kind of artificial intelligence with next-generation language and conversation capabilities.

"We've been working on an experimental conversational AI service, powered by LaMDA, that we're calling Bard. And today, we're taking another step forward by opening it up to trusted testers before it becomes more publicly available in the coming weeks." the company announced.

Why Bard is important?

The new artificial intelligence service combines the breadth of the world's knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of large-scale language models.

The company explained: “Bard can be a canvas for creativity and a launching pad for curiosity, helping people, for example, explain the discoveries of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope to a 9-year-old, or learn more about the best forwards in football at the moment, and thus develop their skills”.

What are the benefits of artificial intelligence?

The new technologies related to artificial intelligence such as LaMDA, PaLM, Imagen and MusicLM, aim to generate new forms of information, from language and images to video and audio.

"We're working to bring these latest AI advances to our products, starting with Search", Google says.

Google and artificial intelligence have a long-standing relationship: BERT, one of the first models of the Transformer project, was revolutionary in understanding the intricacies of human language. Two years ago, Google introduced MUM, which is 1000 times more powerful than BERT and has a multilingual understanding of information.
